What we believe

Confession of faith
  • We believe that the Bible or Holy Scripture is the inerrant Word of God and our only standard for living out our faith. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
  • We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
  • We believe that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
  • We believe that God created man out of the dust of the earth. (Genesis 1:26, 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
  • We believe that sin entered the world because of man's disobedience of God's command. (Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 3:23)
  • We believe that the grace of God made and makes possible the salvation of man by the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:4-7; John 3:16)
  • We believe that conditions required for salvation are faith, repentence, and being born again. (Proverbs 28:13; 2 Peter 3:9; Hebrews 11:6; John 3:3-5)
  • We believe that we have the forgiveness of God as a result of receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. (1 John 1:9; Acts 10:43)
  • We believe that the fruit of believers who have been delivered from sin is sanctification. (Romani 6:22)
  • We believe in a direct relationship of the believer with God, prayer and fasting being two of the most efficient and spiritual relations. (1 John 5:14; Isaiah 58)
  • We believe that water baptism, which is granted to those who believe and have turned to God, must be administered by a single immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:20; Acts 8:36,37)
  • We believe in the institution of the Lord's Supper for the Church. Partaking of the Lord's Supper constitutes a proclamation of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16,17)
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus established the act of washing of feet. (John 13:14)
  • We believe in the promise of the baptism with the Holy Spirit for all believers. (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 2:4, 10:46)
  • We believe that the work of the Holy Spirit is manifested in nine gifts. (1 Corinthians 12:1-10)
  • We believe that both being born again and the baptism with the Holy Spirit must be followed by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Galtians 5:22-23)
  • We believe in divine healing. (Matthew 8:16-17) Healing can be obtained by personal faith (Luke 8:48), by the gift of healing (1 Corinthians 12:9; Acts 3:6) and by prayer uttered with faith after anointing of the sick with oil, according to James 5:14-16. Prayer with the laying on of hands should being done after anointing with oil. (Mark 16:17-18; 6:12-13)
  • We believe in the existence of the Church of God ("assembly of the called") founded by the Lord Jesus Christ as a unified and living organism. (1 Corinthians 1:2-12; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 1 Timothy 3:15; Matthew 18:20)
  • We believe that the family, through marriage, is a divine institution established by God. (Genesis 2:18-24; Matthew 19:5; 1 Peter 3:7; Colossians 3:19; Titus 2:4-5; Colossians 3:18)
  • We believe in the order of the Church with regards to blessing children. (1 Corinthians 7:14; Matthew 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16) Little children should be held in arms, and hands should be laid over older children while proclaiming the blessings of Numbers 6:24-27.
  • We believe that Sunday is the Lord's day. We observe this day in remembrance of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the model of early Church christians. (1 Corinthians 16:2; Acts 20:7, 2:1; John 20:19-20)
  • We believe in the rapture of the Church, in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the eschatological events which will follow. (Isaiah 26:20-21; Luke 17:34-36; 1 Corinthians 15:40-44; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:20-21, 21:1-4)
