Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill... (Matthew 5:14)

At a time when we are flooded with secular advertisements which lead to a system of worldly values, the church is called to fulfill her role as given by the Lord Jesus himself, to be a bright indicator toward Christ! We are the light of the world!

A city that is set on a hill is a place of security. The soul of man needs security and protection in the shadow of the Almighty. This need finds its fulfillment in the Church, the place where the authority of God is manifested. The most secure shelter from the storms of life is the place where God is present: the Church.

Emanuel Church, meets the needs of the romanian community in the american diaspora. It's a place where ordinary people meet an extraordinary God, here rest can be found for the exausted soul in search for the purpose of life.

It's the place where people feel challenged to serve God and where their spiritual, emotional, and even material needs are met by the service of each member of this organism which we call CHURCH.

Even though there are still some who do not desire to become members of the church, still a great truth remains standing: that which God has most precious on earth is the Church. Christ will return someday for the Church! Anyone who fulfills the Scriptural criteria and is part of the church is in security.

A city refers to a community of people. We are together fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household. We have a sure foundation: Christ and were growing together by the Spirit to be a holy Temple in the Lord. (Ephesians 2:19-21)

The Church is the place of assembly of those called by God for the fulfillment of His purpose on earth. A house of prayer, a place of worship where songs of praise resound for the One who saved us, a pulpit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a hospitable environment for sincere people in search of Christian fellowship. A point of departure for equipped laborers to the mission of winning souls for the Kingdom of God.

This is the place where you will find more then friends, brothers and sisters in Christ who will be near in the adventure of life.

Here you will be sustained with prayer for your problems and you will receive an answer and leading from the Lord.

The music groups of Emanuel Church include the main choir, the brass band, the orchestra, the youth choir and various youth groups which through their music glorify God and refresh the souls of those who worship in spirit and in truth.

The youth find joy in worship and study of the Scriptures, in fellowship groups and missions, in field trips and camps at picturesque sites. The goal of such activities is the development of the integrity of the character of the youth involved in the work of the church.

No one feels alone or lacking meaning because of the opportunity for everyone to use their spiritual gifts here.

Emanuel Theological Center, is a Bible school which prepares laborers for the field of the gospel and offers students thorough knowledge of the Word of God for growth in spiritual maturity.

We will be together to celebrate Christ, remembering his work of redemption by partaking of the Lord's Supper and obeying His Word.

We are a sight for the world God created. Angels and men watch us and the way in which we fulfull our God given calling. You are a true christian, when you are a light in the darkness of the world. Being in Church, united in Christ THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, we will be able to make a difference in the world around us!

As the church building, is located by freeway I-80, it cannot be hidden from the thousands of travelers, we believe that the spiritual building composed of those approximately 200 members of Emanuel Church will have an impact of being a light for Sacramento!
